Airbnb is looking for a Creative Lead, Copy to join our Marcom Creative Team. Spanning design, copywriting, interactive, photography, film, and events, this internal team stewards the Airbnb brand and creates a wide range of highly visible work to inspire our rapidly growing guest and host communities. We work cross-functionally across the company as well as with outside agencies, production companies and creatives to bring our ideas to life.

The Creative Lead, Copy will report to the Director, Marcom Creative, Copy and be based in San Francisco. As the title suggests, you will be responsible for leading integrated marketing campaigns from concept to completion, with a particular focus on our writing and voice.

You approach writing as a craft. You think in ideas and write with disarming simplicity, insight and wit. You understand principles of design deeply. As a lead in a multi-functional project team you can communicate effectively with fellow team members and partners within Airbnb; think strategically and proactively solve problems; collaborate closely with Creative Leadership, Production Leads, Marketing Leadership, and Program Managers to create innovative advertising concepts in a demanding, fast-paced environment. You are a learner not merely a knower. You have a brilliant wide-ranging portfolio that demonstrates success at building brands, particularly lifestyle brands.

**Responsibilities**

* Taking a hands-on approach, lead and create best-in-class creative campaigns with a Creative Lead, Art partner, generating and executing big creative ideas, as well as overseeing the work of an assigned creative team.

* Represent the voice and tone of the Airbnb brand.

* Partner with creative teammates, cross-functional stakeholders, agency partners, production companies, and external clients to ensure consistency in our brands voice and tone.

* Foster a respectful and collaborative environment that inspires the team and continually raises our standard of creative excellence.

**Requirements**

* Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience creating global brand campaigns, preferably a mix of advertising agency/creative studio and in-house experience.

* Outstanding portfolio demonstrating a wide range of best-in-class campaign work.

* Ability to write brilliant thoughtful copy in a variety of tones and lengths

* Strong conceptual and brainstorming skills, able to lead and participate as needed.

* Experience collaborating closely with Brand Management teams. Ability to translate market research, data, and strategy into creative solutions.

* Flexible and dependable.

* Ability to think both strategically and tactically, concept through execution.

* Exceptional communication and presentation skillsyou can effectively communicate and passionately defend decisions.

* Empathy for the customer, and empathy for individuals on a creative team.

* Passionate about Airbnbs mission and purpose.
