Job Duties:
Manage a caseload of various types of personal injury matters in litigation
Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients, including filing complaints
Draft meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes
Prepare clients for depositions and other applicable hearings
Take and defend depositions throughout litigation
Prepare and respond to motions, including dispositive motions
Attend court appearances as required
Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases
Direct and support investigation on all assigned litigation matters
Requirements:
1-4 years of Personal Injury Law experience
Strong background in Personal Injury Litigation, including pre-litigation case management and discovery
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission and current good standing with the CA State Bar is required
Experience with Worker's Compensation cases is a plus
Skills:
Excellent legal research and writing skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Detail-oriented and organized
Proficient in legal software and research tools
Education and Certifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree
