Software Integration Engineer - Level 2

Description: What You Will Be Doing

You will be the Software Integration Engineer and will be responsible for the technology development lifecycle, including system and software design and collaboration, automation tooling and infrastructure improvements, and software integration. Work will include a multitude of host systems, including aircraft software, simulated systems, and laboratory environments that include constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations.. Your responsibilities will include:

- Developing, integrating, supporting, and debugging software

- Troubleshooting and supporting CI/CD build pipelines

- Supporting the virtual development labs and aircraft software processes

- Designing, developing and leveraging open-source, commercial and in-house software to support automation infrastructure

- Attending and participating in daily scrums, sprint reviews and technical demos

The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-program team and must have demonstrated effective communication skills. The position will require frequent inter-organizational customer interactions.

This role is critical to the automation infrastructure, software integration and software build process in support of several programs.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance with an Interim Secret to start. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

• C++ programming experience

• Linux/Unix experience

• Hardware and/or software stability and integrity troubleshooting

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college/university in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)

• CI tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket knowledge

• Automation tools and development experience

• Real-time simulation software development and integration experience

• Python programming experience

• Debugging tools experience

• Developing software on Linux

• A strong interest in supporting software development for airborne systems

• Aircraft build pipeline development

• Aircraft sensors, datalinks, navigation, and/or weapons experience

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
