Sales Specialist
Seattle, WA, United States
Groundlight is looking for a Sales Specialist to help stand up our sales motion and support our CEO/co-founder in their founder-led sales efforts. This is a great opportunity for an early-career sales pro to be in the cockpit alongside our co-founder every day talking to customers, chasing down leads, and defining the sales motion for an exciting startup at the bleeding edge of AI and computer vision. This is not a quota-carrying or incentive-based pay role. We're in the early stages of refining our product-market fit, and believe firmly in leveraging our founder's expertise to bring in early customers. The person in this role will be the founders' partner in this effort, and will be instrumental in the support and operations of this motion.
What You'll Do:
Build and protect pipeline: Working closely with our founder and our SDR agency, you'll help find new qualified opportunities and create qualified opportunities. You'll have plenty of territory to mine between an active email prospecting program, a long list of existing leads, and robust founder and investor networks.
Coordinate and lead every opportunity: You'll set follow-ups, support prospects and support our co-founder by keeping the momentum active with every deal.
Collaborative Product Feedback: Work closely with the product development team to relay customer feedback and market demands.
Define and refine our sales process: As the business grows, you'll have the opportunity to define the next stages of our sales motion.
Requirements:
Two to 5 years in software sales, preferably B2B SaaS. This is a great opportunity for someone with SDR or BDR experience who's ready for a new challenge and wants to be on the ground floor of developing AI technology. It's also a good opportunity for an experienced AE who wants to get off the quota treadmill and define the sales function at an exciting startup building real AI tools.
Familiarity with CRM systems and sales automation tools.
Self-starter who can thrive in ambiguity and know the right things to do without a lot of hand-holding.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Expected to travel up to 25% of the time
This role is based in Seattle and requires regular in-office attendance
Nice to Have:
Experience with AI and ML technologies, or a keen interest in developing this knowledge.
All of our full-time employees can expect:
Competitive total compensation, including equity
Full insurance benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance for you and your dependents
401k plan with employer matching
