Data Recovery Technician

EPSIWorx is seeking a dedicated and organized Data Recovery technician to supportone of our clients in Washington, DC. The recovery technician directly reportsto the acting Project Managers. Duties and responsibilities include utilizingHAZMAT gear and appropriate tools to recover records and other forms of Datafrom environments that pose a detriment to the data being recovered; boxing andpackaging of records and data; removing records and data from their currentenvironment into a holding environment; and removing any hazardous materials asidentified by Project Managers. Additionally, the Data Recovery Technician will visually inspect recordsand data mediums during the boxing and packaging phases to determine whichrecords and data mediums are "at risk of recovery' from different contaminationand deterioration levels.

Pleasenote : Hazmat gear is designed to protect fromparticulates and other hazardous materials. Materials you may encounter includemold, various building materials, asbestos, among others. It is important forall applicants to always follow the direction of the Project Managers asProject Managers will strive to make the work as safe as possible.

Responsibilities:

Utilize HAZMAT gear and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)to recover records and other data mediums.

Visually inspect records and data to determine "at risk forrecovery' records and data.

Stage and palletize data in the appropriate boxes, pallets andspaces determined by the project managers.

Conduct a search of the areas to ensure that no records areleft unpacked.

Shelve and un-shelve records as instructed by the projectsupervisors.

Stage and palletize the boxes for pickup and assist in anymoving activities to the holding location.

Unpack and pack project supplies as required.

Removal of trash to appropriate receptacles as required.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Previous experience utilizing Hazmat gear preferred.

Experience in document recovery not required but a plus.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to work in a team.

Ability to follow directions.

Ability to adapt to changing environments and work effectivelyin hazardous conditions.

Physical ability to lift at least 40 lbs. and move boxes andfiles as needed.
