Location: Remote (Must live in the continental USA) Position Type: Full-Time Type: Direct Hire Job Description As a Senior Software Engineer, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software products. You will collaborate with team members to design, develop, document, test, monitor, maintain, and operate various software applications. Responsibilities Software Development and Maintenance
Design, develop, and maintain HTTP services and middleware for internal and external customers.
Collaborate closely with domain experts to analyze and implement business requirements.
Implement and adhere to standardized build, deployment, and operational patterns in coordination with application development teams.
Automate software build and deployment processes for increased efficiency.
Technical Contributions Stay updated with and contribute to open-source technologies relevant to our projects.
Research and implement integration design patterns within microservices or event-driven architecture.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: Experience At least 7+ years of hands-on experience with modern JavaScript backend and PHP development. Architectural Understanding Experience implementing integration design patterns within microservices or event-driven architecture. Versatility The ability to understand and reverse engineer applications written in any programming language from their source code. Technical Skills Proficiency in source control systems like Git and databases, including MySQL/MariaDB, Oracle, and MongoDB. Preferred Skills Frontend Development Advanced proficiency in modern JavaScript front-end development, preferably using React. Education Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, preferably in engineering or computer science, etc. Methodology Knowledge of Agile software development methodology. Linux Administration Experience with Linux system administration. CDN and Security Experience with global CDN acceleration and security, particularly Akamai. Technologies Familiarity with TypeScript, Symfony, Red Hat AMQ/Apache ActiveMQ/Apache Kafka, NestJS, Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes, SOLR (Lucid works), and Open API/Swagger. Open Source Experience working on open-source projects. Load Balancing Knowledge of load balancing methodologies. CI/CD Experience with continuous integration tools, processes, and delivery practices is a plus.
