Colorado Springs, Colorado, The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the most historic NCAA Division II athletic association located in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colo., with 15 member institutions around the Rocky Mountain region, is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual to fill the position of Director for Championships and Marketing. This annual renewable position is full-time and shall begin July 1, 2024.
The Director will: be instrumental in the successful execution of championship events while driving engagement and amplifying the RMAC brand across digital platforms; assist in the oversight of all aspects of championship logistics, from pre-event organization to on-site management, ensuring compliance with RMAC and NCAA regulations; spearhead marketing efforts, promoting ticket sales, merchandise stores, and RMAC Network programming; manage the RMAC digital presence, creating compelling content for social media, and executing integrated marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness. With meticulous attention to detail and strategic mindset, the Director will play a pivotal role in elevating the RMAC’s championship experiences and digital footprint. Additionally, will oversee internal operations, managing office inventory, vendor relationships, and other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree, prior experience within collegiate athletics, and a valid driver’s license. An understanding of championship administration and marketing. Strong communication, public speaking, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Knowledgeable with social media platforms, Microsoft Office & Excel, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Preferred Qualifications
A master’s degree and at least three years of progressive work in collegiate athletics, preferably in a conference office. Experience in Division II athletics, leading athletic events, website content management, digital media experience, and evidence of responsiveness to the diversity of all 15 member institutions and its’ student-athletes. The salary for this position shall be $55,000. The Conference also offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package.
