Software Engineer I
to join our engineering team.
Jaxon is a distinguished leader in Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) hardening and survivability. We evaluate and design EMP systems and facilities and deliver high quality technical services. Jaxon is the only company able to offer turnkey EMP shielding products and services to our Department of Defense and commercial customers.

The successful candidate will also be an effective team player; possess an ability to work in a team of other engineers; be able to interface and communicate effectively with staff, customers, program management and corporate leadership._
Location :*
Colorado Springs, CO*. Residence in the Colorado Springs area is a requirement for this position.

Salary:* $80,000 - $100,000

Primary Duties
Develops new software solutions in Python 3 throughout their full life cycle including design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
Contributes to existing Python projects through development, debugging, testing, and documentation.
Assists with software installation in the field including on-site debugging as needed.
Develops frontend and backend software solutions.
Requirements:

Desired Qualifications
Active Department of Defense SECRET (or higher) security clearance
3+ years of professional experience software development/management
Professional experience using Java, C#, C++, or similar programming languages
Professional experience with CI/CD Pipelines, wxPython, cxFreeze
Experience designing software user interfaces with existing hardware
Experience with SCPI command structure
Demonstrated skill in technical writing and/or documentation.
