Information Security Analyst

Position Summary
We're looking for an experienced Information Security Analyst to join our growing team on a temporary basis. Reporting to the full-time Information Security Analyst and under the guidance of the Executive Director, this role focuses on monitoring networks, system alerts, and logs for security issues across Mac and Windows environments. You'll install, monitor, and manage security software, respond to incidents, and document security events to protect our data's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
This hybrid role is based in Denver, CO, requiring in-office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Primary Responsibilities
Monitor networks for security vulnerabilities and investigate system alerts.
Respond to and manage reported phishing attempts.
Enhance information security controls and recommend remedial actions.
Assist in ongoing vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Collaborate with the Incident Response team to investigate and mitigate security breaches.
Enforce company-wide information security best practices.
Stay updated on security standards and technologies.
Educate team members on information security awareness.
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; certifications are a plus.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in information security or related fields.
Proficiency with Mac and Windows operating systems.
Familiarity with network vulnerability and penetration testing.
Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
