Life Care Center of Wilbraham Assistant Director of Nursing Wilbraham , Massachusetts Apply Now Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) (Registered Nurse/RN) Life CareCenter of Wilbraham Wilbraham, MA Live the Mission Position Summary TheRN - Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing (DON)in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operationof the Nursing Services department to ensure the highest degree ofquality patient care in accordance with all applicable laws,regulations, and Life Care standards. Education, Experience, andLicensure Requirements ASN or BSN from accredited college or universityCurrently licensed/registered in applicable State. Must maintain anactive Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughoutemployment. Two (2) years\' geriatric nursing experience preferred,preferably in post-acute care CPR certification upon hire or obtainduring orientation. CPR certification must remain current duringemployment. Specific Job Requirements Maintains a liaison with patients,families, support departments, etc. to adequately plan for patient needsExpert knowledge in field of practice Make independent decisions whencircumstances warrant such action Knowledgeable of practices andprocedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governingfunctions in the post-acute care facility Implement and interpret theprograms, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the departmentPerform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limitedto: nursing care, supervisory responsibilities, infection control,patient rights, and safety and sanitation Maintains professional workingrelationships with all associates, vendors, etc. Maintainsconfidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationUnderstand and follow company policies including harassment andcompliance procedures Displays integrity and professionalism by adheringto Life Care\'s Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conductand other appropriate compliance training Essential Functions Assist theDON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing theNursing Services department Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate,and supervise nursing staff Assist with overseeing care provided bynursing staff Oversee infection control responsibilities Assume theduties of the DON in his or her absence Provide direct nursing care asnecessary Perform functions of a staff nurse as required Exhibitexcellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patientsAssist in the evacuation of patients Demonstrate dependable, regularattendance Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgmentCommunicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team Sit,stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and moveintermittently during working hours Read, write, speak, and understandthe English language Must be able to read, write, speak, and understandthe English language Benefits for Full-Time Associates medical, dental,vision, life and short-term disability coverage 401(k) paid vacation,sick days and holidays An Equal Opportunity Employer
