GILBANE has an opportunity for a Project Manager II to support our pursuits and projects in the Southeast . This person will be assigned to our Jacksonville, FL office.

Do you consider yourself to be a highly technical, strong communicator with the desire to work in a team environment on complex projects? Gilbane is seeking a Project Manager II to serve as the on-site Gilbane manager responsible for supporting the overall direction, completion and financial outcome of a construction management project; supervises/mentors the project staff to include multiple Project Engineers and Superintendents. This position will be on the job site every day and will fill a key role on the project team.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership in motivating the project team and maintain a positive work environment Manage the project using established project controls and procedures

Perform pre-construction planning, scheduling, and cost control.

Buy-out of the project in alignment with the project budget.

Communicate with owners, architects and subcontractors related to project risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management.

Perform constructability and coordination reviews.

Prepare and present monthly reports including cost, schedule, safety, cash ow, and others for internal and/or external use.

Prepare contingency plans for potential risks, expanding contractual services and project prot.

Negotiate subcontractor back charges and claims.

Prepare Owner Requests for Equitable adjustment and Claims.

Provide jobsite leadership in safety and quality.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

BS OR MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management

5-10 years of Project Management experience on projects valued at $50 million or larger

Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Prior US Government/military construction project experience is preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Strong technical and communication skills

Excellent organizational skills.

Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to changing

Ability to work in a team

Procient in Microsoft Oce and

Must be construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction.

Must have experience and prociency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.

Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan. Must be able to create an environment where "safety rst" is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude.

Must have experience supervising a project team.

OSHA 30 hour certied.

Must be willing to travel or relocate.
