Nature of Work:
The Software Engineer will work on various software engineering projects including assisting in all areas of technical support, design, maintenance, and operations of SkyCam systems both in house and in the field. Examples of work performed:
Development and maintenance of Window’s Forms user interface, class libraries, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) user infaces.
Development and maintenance of SQL Database to include Stored Procedures, Tables, Views, and performance enhancements.
Development and maintenance of javascript, ajax and jquery interfaces and methodologies.
Participation as a member of a small team, frequently responsible for multiple projects simultaneously
Recognizing system deficiencies and proactively proposing, discussing, and implementing effective solutions
Plan and execute design and programming
Coordinate and implement content changes
Individually manage and complete short-term or long-term projects from start to finish
Assume responsibility for all programming needed to produce content for assigned projects

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is a must
Prior experience in live-event, field technical operations a plus
Potential for greater than 50% travel.
Work in a high-stress environment.
Lift up to 25 lbs. up to 1/3 of time.
Valid Driver’s license is required
Moderate to very loud noise at times
Ability to solve real-world problems with creative timely solutions
Qualifications:
Minimum
Industrial, PLC, HMI and servo motor controls systems, computer and electronic communications systems, optical communications systems (fiber) and electrical networks (TCP/IP/ UDP, serial)
Experience with Object Oriented Programming and Windows application development
Experience with SQL and database design concepts
Experience with Javascript and JQuery
Mobile App development either native or cross-platform development
Proficiency in front-end development languages and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, etc.
Solid grasp of relational database concepts and best practice
Exceptional written and oral communications skills
The capability to quickly learn and assimilate new skills and technologies
A positive attitude and the ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or greater
Experience with C# and .NET 4 or higher
Experience with graphical design and User Interface Design, generation, and implementation.
Experience with Mobile Applications utilizing cross-platform or native development (React Native, Xamarin, Swift, Objective C, etc.)
Experience with SMS/Messaging within mobile application development
Experience with personal computer building, diagnostics, and maintenance.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Programming or MIS
Required (if no degree) – Accredited certification from a well-established trade school or extended learning program
Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.
Material and Equipment Used:
Software suites (MS SQL Server, C#, .NET)
Computer languages, supporting several microcontroller languages including PLC, Ladder, .NET, C++, function block, Arduino/Pi, and other microprocessor controls.
Communications systems (Hardware and Software) including RS232,422,485, TCP/IP, UDP, Fiber Optic, Copper, and RF.
Bench and field test equipment including Multi-meter, signal analyzer, video, and Audio Equipment.
Video & audio test equipment and encoding equipment.
