Eastern Research Group, Inc. (ERG) is seeking a Mid-level Public Health Analyst to join our Economic and Policy Analysis practice that supports a wide range of policy-oriented research at the federal, state, and local levels. Our clients include the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and others.

Job Description:

Serving as key technical analyst for domestic U.S. projects related to policies and regulations affecting public health and worker safety and health

Analyzing benefits, costs, and impacts of regulations, policies, and programs

Conducting evaluations of public health programs using standard and innovative quantitative and/or qualitative methods and techniques

Preparing written reports, memoranda, spreadsheet models, and presentations

Supporting business development efforts by participating in bid and proposal processes

Demonstrating technical leadership and expertise via presentations at conferences and authoring publications

Qualifications and Skills: Master's Degree in a quantitative field, such as Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related degree

Those with a Ph.D. are strongly encouraged to apply

2+ years of demonstrated experience working on programs or projects related to public health and/or worker safety and health • Experience using R, STATA, or SAS for data analysis and predictive analytics

Experience developing custom analytic models in Excel, R Shiny, TreeAge, or other platforms

Ability to conduct technical analyses, both quantitative and qualitative in nature

Ability to work under tight deadlines

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate analyses and findings to various stakeholders in non-technical language, including senior government officials

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Proficiency in MS Office Applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and TEAMS

Geographic location for the position is flexible, but New England and Washington, D.C. areas are preferable

$65,000 - $75,000 a year

ERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401k plan, profit sharing, an EAP, 11-20 paid vacation days per year, 10 paid holidays per year, 56 hours or more of sick leave (based on the state you work in) per year (pro-rated for part-time) and more. The salary range for all positions depends on the years and type of experience.
