The Originations Data Entry Associate will be responsible for managing and processing loan applications, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and providing exemplary customer service. This role involves direct communication with various parties to update them on the status of their loan applications, evaluating creditworthiness, and handling a variety of administrative tasks to support the loan origination process. The successful candidate will be cross-trained to assist other departments when needed and will contribute to achieving the company’s performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with transaction parties to update them on loan status.
Process loan applications in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
Evaluate creditworthiness by processing loan applications and documentation.
Assign tasks to other Indexing Associates and Data Entry Associates as needed.
Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to lending.
Provide assistance to the Originations Indexing Department during high volume periods.
Handle overflow calls from the Originations Customer Care Department.
Achieve company performance goals.
Consistently represent the company positively and professionally.
Write business communications as needed.
Ensure timely processing and communication of credit denials.
Provide regular status updates to management.
Perform assorted duties as requested by management.
Education and Work Experience Requirements: 1-2 years of customer service experience in the finance/mortgage industry.
In-depth knowledge of loan origination processes and procedures.
Proficiency in Encompass (preferred), MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and Windows PC.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters.
Must be responsible, reliable, and maintain a high level of integrity.
High school diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in line with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
Must be able to type, talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
Able to sit at a workstation for prolonged periods.
Salary Range: $23.50 To $24.00 / Hour
