Primary Focus The Senior Security Engineer (Firewall, Mobile, OGA/NGO ISA's) supports the Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS) and administers, upgrades and when required, installs Firewall, Mobile devices, OGA/NGO ISA's and related components to support various Networking projects. This includes configuring equipment and developing procedures for ongoing maintenance of the unclassified and classified networks. All duties and responsibilities performed in accordance with the Core Values of Cayuse. Job Responsibilities Working experience with large enterprise WAN networks (BGP and OSPF)
Working with the stakeholder community to provide network and Firewall services
Design and maintain Intranet and Internet DNS services
Design and implement IPV6 onto the network
Design, configure, and maintain ASAs, firewalls, routing, and switching services
Experience with remote equipment installations and network upgrades
Documenting the network/firewall design and changes using Visio and other tools
Managing the configuration of the network equipment (firewalls, DNS servers, routers, switches, etc.)
Understanding of ITIL best practices
Managing a number of tasks with competing priorities
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Skills and Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Networking Certifications a plus
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) a plus
Bachelor's Degree – Information or Computer Systems a plus
Experience handling multiple projects at once
Experience taking over management of projects at different levels of completion
Must know BGP and OSPF
Must know DNS
Must know IPv6
Must have good network troubleshooting skills to analyze enterprise level performance problems
Must have experience with Cisco ASAs, Routers and Switches
Top Secret Clearance required.
Must be a United States Citizen.
Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
Minimum Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization.
Shall have the requisite skills, expertise, and experience to perform the requirements of each task. Must be extremely detail–oriented and well organized.
Must have excellent skills using Microsoft and Google Suite Products (Word, Excel, Power Point) and be able to learn new software as the situation dictates.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Firewalls, DMZ intrusion detection, and network security
Knowledge in Bluecoats firewalls desirable
Knowledge of Info Blocks is desirable (future implementation)
Good working skills in Microsoft office (Word PowerPoint, Project, and Excel)
Previous working experience at DoS is desirable, but not required
Good working skills in Remedy trouble ticketing and asset management system.
Reports to: Client Account Director Working Conditions Professional office environment. Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties while standing for extended periods of time.
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
