Job/Position DescriptionThe Database Developer role supports IT applications utilized by HHSC program areas through highly complex development and database management. The role is key in driving IT operations towards enhanced efficiency and effectiveness by devising new ways to improve functionality of existing systems and implementing new solutions. Performs systems analysis and identifies requirements, procedures, and areas to automate processing and/or improve existing systems. Develops, implement, and test solutions to address complex application related items. Works in collaboration with other team members and management, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.This position is classified as a fulltime position (40 hours a week). Work outside of regular hours may be required. Travel to other work locations may be required. Performs other duties as assigned.
