Job Description
$10,000 Sign On Bonus
To provide treatment for the adult population under therapist care. Treatment is provided by group therapy, individual sessions, family contact, and legal contact. The direction of treatment and the extent of the contacts will be determined by treatment team. Therapist is to use their clinical individuality but must work effectively with entire team.
Education:
Master's Degree plus at least one year of training in a specialty resulting in certification.
Experience:
Three years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
Licenses and Certifications
* LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR
* LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST
* LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
* NATIONAL CERTIFIED COUNSELOR
* CERTIFIED ADDICTION COUNSELOR - LEVEL II
*DBT-trained or willing to be trained in and use DBT for the Inpatient Units
Qualifications
* Employee will obtain initial CPR and SCIPP certification within 90 days of employment. Employee will maintain CPR and SCIPP certification as required.
* Must have master's degree in counseling or related fields and fully licensed by the state of Georgia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT). Substance abuse counselors must have a Master's degree in a related field and the Masters Addiction Counselor credential (MAC) and or be a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor
* Familiarity with continuum of care.
* Legible handwriting.
* Assessment and intervention skills.
* Persuasive manner and skills in overcoming denial and resistance to treatment.
* Ability to concentrate on task in high traffic areas.
* Familiar with clinical terminology.
* Knowledge of DSM V diagnostic criteria.
* Ability to deal with crisis and potentially combative patients while maintaining personal and emotional terminology.
* Ability to empathetically relate to people.
* Ability to maintain information as highly confidential.
* Able to meet deadlines.
* Basic data entry skills required and preference for basic computer skills.
* Time management and sound organizations skills.
* In the event that individual is recovering from an alcohol or drug addiction, they must clean and sober for 2 years.
* Duty of Care must be exercised with those persons who are currently in recovery or experience a relapse while employed. therefore, it is necessary that a minimum of a two-year period away from clinical duties be observed after the acknowledgment of a problem and or relapse along with treatment completion. This enables the protection of the individuals served and the recovering person as well.
* Demonstrates a working knowledge of the CFR 42 laws
