The Sr Director of Pharmacy Sales is accountable and responsible for executing pharmacy sales strategy, governance, sales team guidelines and overall pharmacy market growth and revenue retention. The role will be expected to manage the pharmacy market sales team, executing the pharmacy strategy, managing the pipeline, adhering to budget for travel and expense policies and building collaboration with the operations, account management, finance and legal. Key Responsibilities Develop and communicate strategic sales plans to grow and retain existing revenue. Sr Director will have strong pharmacy acumen, financial acumen, negotiation skills and understanding of working in a large corporation.
Develop strategies for delivering key metrics for success of the pharmacy sales team. Lead with an enterprise first mindset and as a business partner to our shared service teams, to optimize business results and customer satisfaction.
Lead the selling activity of the pharmacy portfolio, with the ability to collaborate and work with other divisions of the organization to enhance the enterprise. The Sr Director will be responsible to build metrics, including growth funnel activity, action plans, and be a voice with finance and sales operations on incentive plans for the team.
Involved in strategizing and co-negotiating important, large customer contracts on net new or existing contracts and skills to build relationships with clients.
Responsible for building and growing performance of sales activities.
Ability to translate and execute a sales strategy by implementing proper processes and daily management so there is a solid understanding of performance expectations and results, and where action needs taken to improve or accelerate business performance.
Minimum Requirements 12+ years commercial experience with multiple years spent in a sales leadership or influencer role.
Displays confidence and conviction when engaging with C-Level leaders.
Demonstrates self-awareness and emotional intelligence. Balances directness and tact to influence and role models a willingness to confront tough issues and challenges.
Leads across enterprise boundaries to break down silos, foster collaboration, problem solve, develop individuals, and create team alignment.
Executing and promoting sales strategies
Experience with prolonged and short sales cycles
Experience leveraging sales processes and CRM systems, e.g. salesforce.com
Critical Skills Practical experience with executing and contributing to sales and contract negotiations.
Strong Pharmacy Market Acumen.
Consistently demonstrates the ability to make tough decisions and trade-offs on complex issues using logical analysis, experience, instinct, and consideration of the best interest of McKesson; has consistent track record of making organizational and Enterprise decisions. Engages teams in discussions with the goal of collaboration, not consensus and ultimately commitment.
