About the Role
The Company is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to join its world-class legal team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating growth and mitigating risk through support of the corporate function, with a focus on leading the M&A function. This includes developing M&A strategy, structuring critical transactions, and negotiating on behalf of the business. The role also involves managing risk by negotiating important deal documents, advising on legal and strategic risks, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integrations. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree, at least 7 years of combined corporate and M&A experience, and be an active member of the US state bar in good standing.Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company should possess a comprehensive understanding of the M&A process, particularly in the tech industry, and be adept at handling post-closing issues. The role requires a proactive, self-starter with strong business acumen, the ability to make risk-based judgements, and a solution-oriented mentality. The candidate should be a team player with excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with individuals at all levels, including executives. Responsibilities also include assisting the corporate legal team on various corporate matters and owning special projects as needed.
