Position Summary
Huron Consulting Group is seeking an experienced technical solution architect with a concentration in master data management. The architect will assist our clients in defining Data Management solutions based on the capabilities of data integration, data quality, master data management and project level data governance. In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading the definition and technical deployment of Huron’s solutions and assisting in the definition of a client’s Data Management strategy & roadmap. The incumbent in this position is viewed as a thought leader and we expect them to mentor internal talent and participate in industry forums to expand Huron’s reputation.

Qualifications
Primary Responsibilities:
Hands-on architecture and development in the implementation of data integration, data quality, master data and data governance technologies
Own the solution approach, detailed design, and lead configuration for party based hierarchy, data modeling, workflow, steward UI, match & merge, inbound/outbound integration, and Dashboards
Leads technical workstreams of engagements and project teams consisting of Development Analysts, Development Associates, and Administrators
Client facing with technical and business stakeholders
Serve as a technical lead and mentor. Provide technical support and leadership in the development and continual improvement Huron accelerators and team members
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members
Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience levels and geographies (NA, EU, APAC)
Expand body of knowledge and expertise through applicable solution training and certifications, but also industry recognized frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DMBOK)
Role Expectations
Responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery and success of a project
Can actively communicate in a difficult situation.
Takes time to effectively prepare audience appropriate presentations and conceptual communications
Actively coach assigned mentees in line with Huron performance development framework
Ensuring client references and actively working to identify in-client opportunities
Own end of project actions updating templates, lessons learned, etc.
Establish and enforce the documentation standards for the projects overseen
Some travel required (client meetings, conferences & industy events)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or equivalent
8+ years’ work experience, with the last 5+ years in a data management related role driving collaborative efforts to develop and implement wholistic data management solutions that blend data integration, data quality, master data and operational reporting
Experience working with tools used to support data management including metadata management (i.e., business glossary and data catalog) and data quality (e.g., data profiling, score carding, etc.), master data management (e.g., match/merge, survivorship, data modeling, hierarchy management), data integration (e.g., data conversions/initial loads, high and low latency data movement, event based and schedule based data movement, business process orchestration, data ingress and egress)
Applicable developer and architect level certifications in leading data management tools
Ability to think strategically and relate data management decisions and recommendations to business needs and client culture, while being able to identify, quantify, and effectively raise solution risks and options to resolve
Ability to assess an existing organization’s baseline Data Management capability maturity and provide recommendations for improvements ensuring that quick wins can be identified
Demonstrated expertise in ensuring stakeholder awareness and engagement to ensure momentum through their active participation
Strong technical writing demonstrated through the ability to take complex technical concepts and making them easily understood
Enthusiasm for helping team members improve their skills and grow their careers
Comfortable working through ambiguous situations to define precise requirements and priorities and drive outcomes
Strong process development, planning, tracking and presentation skills
Attention to detail, sense of urgency, and commitment to deadlines
Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans and solutions to identified issues and problems
Experience and exposure to data privacy regulations and their impact on a client’s organization: GDPR, CCPA, etc.
High proficiency in using MS Office in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of Tools.
The estimated base salary for this job is $130,000 - $160,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $149,500 - $200,000. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
