The Bilingual Social Worker provides brief, solution-focused mental health interventions, therapy, crisis interventions, and case management services to children and families that are involved in San Francisco systems including child welfare, San Franciscos Department of Public Health Child Crisis program, Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), and San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) youth. They work as members of a treatment team and provide services in the community, including hospitals, schools, and family homes located both within San Francisco and up to 90 miles away.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the clinical lead and work with the treatment team to provide crisis intervention and other mental health services as needed in client homes and in the community.

Provide counseling, therapy, and case management services for youth referred by, but not limited to, the San Francisco child welfare system, SF Department of Public Health (DPH), Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), and San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD).

Collaborate on a regular basis with team members including but not limited to: Child Welfare Workers, caregivers, school staff, therapists, and case managers.

Complete risk assessments, clinical documentation, creation of behavioral and safety plans.

Complete documentation identified by supervisor in a timely and satisfactory manner

Participate in all treatment reviews, family team meetings and program staff meetings

Participate in weekly individual supervision and group supervision to expand skills and receive ongoing coaching and support

Maintain professional behavior at all times, appropriately representing Senecas mission and philosophy.

Provide on-call coverage to the clients as needed.

All other duties assigned by supervisor or other Seneca Management.

Carries out functions and responsibilities as it pertains to giving orders and conducting evaluations of clients in restraint/seclusion as per Seneca Center Crisis Intervention Policy Section 8.

Qualifications:

Required:

Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, professional clinical counseling, or psychology.

Eligible to register with the California BBS (AMFT, ASW, APCC).

Bilingual Spanish/English abilities required.

Strong communication skills and flexibility.

Experience working with children and families in out of home care preferred.

Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Own vehicle, California drivers license and auto insurance.

TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Preferred:

At least 9 months to 1 year experience in working with emotionally disturbed children in out of home care.

Schedule: Full-Time Sun-Wed; 10am-8pm

Participate in On-Call Crisis Response shifts on a rotating basis

Benefits: Starting salary: $72,100 - $86,100 annually Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role

Additional $4000 salary increase for BBS licensure

As of July 7th , this starting range will increase to $80,623 - $94,623 per year

$2,000 sign-on bonus

5 weeks of Paid Time off and 11 Paid Holidays
