Job Duties: Call patient for refills reminder as assigned by pharmacy staff, documentation of calls, and communication of dispense back to pharmacy staff
Notification of Adherence and Compliance to physician offices
Call patients for follow-up after 1 week of starting oral oncolytic
Processing prescriptions and updating shipping address and payment
Initiating and process prior authorization
Assist with pharmacy with dispensing process as needed
Other duties as assigned by Pharmacy Director
Expectations: Provide as a liaison between patient, pharmacy, and physician office in order to insure patient are compliant and adhering to treatments
Communication to pharmacy and clinical staff concerning prescriptions dispensed, shipping, and refill authorizations to insure timely dispensing of medication to patient
Ability to converse with patient and provide customer service over the phone
Be able to work independently
Be able to self- initiate and creative to find solutions
Be able to open minded and adapt to changes in new programs efficiently
Strong retail background and assist with pharmacy whenever needed.
Strong pharmacy benefit manager experience in mail order or prior authorization
Requirements Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Word, retail pharmacy programs required
2 years of retail experience in the last 4 years required
1 year experience in a pharmacy benefit manager doing prior authorizations required
Mail order experience required
Type 50 WPM required
Spanish-speaking preferred
College Diploma preferred
Pharmacy Technician Certification is required
Oncology Consultants is a drug-free workplace. Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment.
