Description
Cast Products, Inc., a progressive manufacturer of zinc die castings seeks a skilled CNC Programmer to join its manufacturing team.
Applicants must demonstrate: the ability to trouble shoot, basic math, reading, writing, blue print reading, comprehension skills and computer proficiency. Experience on HAAS CNC’s, hard cutting and high speed machining is a plus!
Major responsibilities include:
Being Accountable for programming, operation and maintenance of CNC machine.
Conduct planning sessions and work closely with Tool Designer-CAD/CAM
Follow work instructions and program list provided by Tool Designer-CAD/CAM
Program general CNC routines and patterns at the machine.
Program cutter paths using MasterCam Software.
Perform indicated CNC machine set-ups.
Oversee all aspects of CNC machine operation.
Work closely with appropriate personnel in the development and execution of prototype samples.
Oversee CNC cutter inventory and notify supervisor when replacement tooling is needed.
Perform maintenance of CNC
Make arrangements for servicing of CNC machine if needed.
Accountable for troubleshooting.
Maintain record of hours worked and enter into computer at the end of shift, daily.
Stop a job when a non-conformance is found and consult with Tool Designer-CAD/CAM
Wear assigned PPE.
Cleanup work area at the end of each shift.
Perform other duties as assigned by Tool Room Foreman.
Follow CPI rules and regulations regarding safety, discipline, cooperation and teamwork.
Requirements
The independent, self starter we seek will have:
Strong working knowledge of Solidworks, Mastercam and/or Cimatron or similar CAD/CAM engineering applications (programming language and techniques).
Electrode Programming.
Three years experience setting up CNC machines for milling, and/or closely related industry.
Adept at working in a dynamic environment where programs, setups and tooling are constantly changing and interact effectively with employees and management as priorities shift.
Salary info:
$20 - $24 / hr
