Our client, a children's clothing brand, is hiring a Freelance Graphic Artist to join their team in NYC on a hybrid schedule (2 days in office). This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent based on performance and the needs of the business.
Job Duties Include:
Create original artwork, manipulate print repeats, and design colorway
Maintain up to date knowledge of new trends in the kids/tween market
Manage processes of color matching, indexing, and cleaning existing artwork
Edit and retouch studio bought prints
Create repeats within the brand size limitations
Prepare print-ready artwork packages
Partner to manage deadlines and ensure graphics are in line with customer image
Ad hoc duties as needed and assigned
Job Qualifications Include:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
Expert level Photoshop and Illustrator skills
Ability to design tie dye, create word graphics, create characters, etc.
Creative sketching skills
Strong sense of color
Proactive team player with strong initiative
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Salary: $40/hr
