The Radiologic Technologist:
Performs radiographic procedures , producing images for the interpretation by, or at the Request of a licensed independent practitioner.
demonstrates an understanding of the human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. Radiographers must maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique.
maintain knowledge of radiation protection and safety. Radiographers prepare, administer and document activities related to contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations or institutional policy.
remain sensitive to the physical , cultural and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring and patient care skills
Per Diem Work Schedule Requirement:
Work a minimum of 4 shifts per month (4, 6 or 8 hour shifts).
Take a minimum of 4 shifts of on-call per month.
Work a minimum of 2 holidays per year (Christmas, New Year's, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving).
