About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Medical and Clinical Affairs to lead the strategic integration of genomic diagnostics into global healthcare practices. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of driving the company's mission to expand access to genomics and enhance the diversity of genomics data, ultimately aiming to achieve health equity on a global scale. This pivotal role involves serving as a respected thought leader in the clinical use of genomics, fostering partnerships with key opinion leaders, and guiding the development of accurate and effective diagnostic tests. The VP will also be responsible for ensuring the compliance of clinical studies, generating evidence-based data for regulatory submissions, and leading the global medical organization in line with the company's commitment to improving human health through genomic innovation.Applicants for the VP, Medical and Clinical Affairs position should be physician-scientists of national or international standing, with a strong network and history of clinical expertise. A relevant MD or PhD is required, along with a proven track record in medical affairs leadership and significant experience in guiding products to FDA approval. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape, a collaborative and team-oriented approach, and an executive presence that is both inspiring and motivational. Experience in clinical trial design and execution, particularly in the context of drug, device, or clinical assay development, is essential, with direct experience in NGS considered highly advantageous. The role demands a professional who can personify a clinical organization's commitment to prioritizing the needs of patients, their families, and the broader community.
