Senior Network Infrastructure Engineers provides engineering services and level 3 support associated with network, firewall, and telephone infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud. Responsible for building, deploying, documenting, and maintaining functional, optimized, and secure network and telecom environments. Designs, configures, recommends, integrates, and/or constructs functional network and telecom infrastructure on-premises and in the cloud.
Provides network infrastructure services in support of information technology and business project activities, often serving as members of a project team.
Senior Network Infrastructure Engineers are accountable for management and resolution of incident, problem, service request and change management assignments, as well as providing level 3 support & services (evaluate, diagnose & resolve) for complex work items level 1 and 2 support cannot resolve/satisfy. Frequently requires engagement with internal departments, external partners and/or vendors.
Responsibility Analyze, review and design enterprise class network and telecom systems based on industry experience, research, vendor interaction, proof of concepts and labs.
Setup and configure network hardware, operating systems, applications, utilities, services, and other related network infrastructure in support of information technology and business project activities, serving as a member of a project team.
Upgrade, maintain, and administer existing network infrastructure including switches, routers, proxy servers, firewalls, load balancers, VPN appliances, DNS/DHCP servers, and IDS/IPS devices.
Monitors KofC network and telecom systems and provides 24x7x365 level 3 network support. Works closely with Infrastructure Operations to troubleshoot, manage, and resolve incident, problem, service request and change management assignments.
Develop and maintain project plans, standards, procedures, policies, diagrams, proposals, security documentation, troubleshooting guides, inventory lists, and resource plans. Adhere to network documentation and policies.
Configure and manage network resources on cloud platforms, including virtual networks, subnets, ExpressRoute, and security groups
Monitor network performance, proactively identify and resolve network-related issues for both on-premises and cloud based environments
Optimize network configurations for cost-efficiency and performance
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards. and regulations
Drive continuous improvement efforts to streamline cloud network operations
Ensure network scalability, reliability, and security across cloud environments
Participates in disaster recovery & business continuity planning and testing.
Qualifications: Experience with Hardware, Networking OS, LAN/WAN, Telephony, Network protocols & Services, Network tools and applications, Network Scripting
Applicable Degree
10+ years of design, engineering, and admin of on-premise and cloud hosted network and firewall infrastructure
Certifications Preferred
