Must be currently licensed in the State of Texas, and have a minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
Performs health duties within the scope of RN practice/protocol as prescribed by the Texas Board of Nursing.
Provide intermediate level professional public health nursing services including assessment, prioritization, treatment, counseling and education to patients.
Interact with patients, general public, and medical workers in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Maintains confidentiality of client information as outlined in HIPAA guidelines.
Practice all OSHA safety standards including disposal of biohazard waste.
Issues and educates patients on various medications and importance of adherence to medications.
Perform accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.
Document problems and report critical issues as they occur to supervisor or physician/provider.
