Description

Emory University School of Medicine’s Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is offering a full-time faculty position for a diagnostic neuroradiologist to work in conjunction between the Division of Neuroradiology and Community Radiology Specialists Division. Clinical fellowship in neuroradiology is required. The ideal candidate will have an interest in the high-level practice of diagnostic neuroradiology as part of a multi-hospital healthcare system. The position will include opportunity for academic productivity, trainee teaching, departmental leadership, and development of subspecialized interests including advanced MRI, spine imaging, and head and neck imaging.

This position is a 100% neuroradiology position consisting of reading diagnostic neuroradiology and performing core neuroradiology procedures (lumbar puncture and myelography). Time will be shared between core academic hospital sites as part of the Division of Neuroradiology and regional hospital sites as part of the Community Radiology Subspecialists Division. The position offers a unique blend of high level, sub-specialty focused neuroradiology working with residents and fellows at an academic institution and bringing high level neuroradiology care to a community based multi-specialty practice setting. The Division of Neuroradiology is currently staffed by 26 faculty who provide subspecialized diagnostic inpatient and outpatient clinical service across core Emory Healthcare sites (Emory University Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown) and Grady Memorial Hospital. The Community Radiology Specialists Division is staffed by 16 faculty who provide inpatient and outpatient neuroradiology services for regional Emory hospitals, including Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Emory Decatur Hospital, and Emory Hillandale Hospital. A hybrid of on-site and remote work is available.

State-of-the-art clinical equipment are present across the enterprise. Extensive research facilities including dedicated research imaging facilities are available. In addition, there are strong intra- and interdepartmental clinical and research collaborations already in place. An exceptional neuroradiology fellowship offers nine one-year positions per year and there are more than 70 radiology residents. The department has a strong commitment to faculty development and academic advancement. Atlanta is a highly desirable, growing metropolitan area with many attractions and a favorable climate. Emory has a strong record of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and encourages all interested to apply.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Applicants must be ABR Board-certified/eligible, subspecialty certified or eligible, have completed a Neuroradiology fellowship at an accredited program, and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
