Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Junior Documentary Film Associate for Mason Gross School of Arts.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Works on documentary film projects in New Jersey as a production assistant or associate producer, cinematography, or sound recording, assistant editing and/or associate editing. Travels to story-related locations as necessary, to organize and or conduct interviews and/or visual documentation.
Pre-production and/or post-production related to the location work.
Works with the Director of the Documentary Film Lab in gathering and shaping documentary stories.
Position is dependent on adequate external funding.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Certifications/Licenses Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of film/video equipment to their respective role (i.e. cameras if working with camera, sound gear if recordist, editing software if assistant editors) is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Dependent upon role, cameras, sound gear, editing software, etc.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Standing, sitting, walking for extended periods of time, light lifting required.
