What you'll do

The team is focused on redefining the next generation of capabilities for all New Relic. You will be responsible for products that help customers answer their most substantial questions by allowing them to visualize, explore, and understand their ops, applications, and customer data.

Prioritize effectively across business and technical requirements.

Facilitate technical communication across teams, organizations, and leadership.

Collaborate with leadership, product management, and engineering to align priorities and plans.

Serve as the connective tissue between teams and organizations for all technical matters.

Promote an inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives.

This role requires

8+ years of technical leadership helping engineering teams thrive

Experience with one or more of these languages: Rust, Go, Java

Experience working with one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Experience operating containerized services (Kubernetes, Mesos/Marathon)

Extensive experience in a SaaS environment, building and operating large-scale distributed systems.

Ability to collaborate and impact decisions at the interpersonal level

Strong written and verbal communication skills

BS/MS/PhD in CS (or equivalent).

Bonus points if you have

Observability domain knowledge

Experience operating containerized services (Kubernetes, Mesos/Marathon)

Solid understanding of databases (RDS, MySQL, PostgreSQL)

Experience with configuration management tooling (Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet

Estimated Base Pay Range: $ 194,000 - $ 242,000

The pay range above represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
