Meet the team:

The Autonomy Analytics team is responsible for evaluating the performance of our autonomous software using data, statistics, and machine learning. Combining data from real-world testing with our extensive simulations, our team builds the metrics and analytics that ensure our product is safe, reliable, and delights our customers.

Our team is spread geographically with some members on-site in Pittsburgh, Palo Alto, and Dearborn. Others work fully remotely. We come from backgrounds ranging from test engineering to robotics to data science to computer science.

What you'll do:

Lead development of automated analysis to evaluate the performance of our automated driving technology.

Work closely with cloud infrastructure engineers to develop pipelines for processing our data at scale.

Partner with our systems engineering teams to define requirements, processes, and procedures for product evaluation.

Liaise with autonomy engineers to ensure our analysis empowers them to iterate quickly and ship confidently.

Develop tooling, processes, and procedures for verifying and validating our measures of performance.

Mentor engineers both within our team and externally.

What you'll need to succeed:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 7+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or PhD and 2+ years of relevant experience)

Strong opinions on designing metrics and forecasting system performance.

Extensive experience in large scale data analytics.

Expertise in Python and SQL.

Superb communication skill both verbally and in writing; can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

A track record of working across teams to deliver company-level impact.

Nice to have:

Experience in autonomous driving systems.

Experience with robotics and machine learning.

Experience in system verification and validation.

Knowledge of perception, prediction, motion planning, and computer vision.

Proficiency in C++.

Knowledge of cloud computing architectures.

The expected base salary range for this full-time position in California is $207,760-$285,670 USD. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Latitude employees are also eligible to participate in Latitude's annual bonus programs, equity compensation, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
