Job Description:
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Construction Controller to join our team in Washington, D.C. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the financial management of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage accounting software and be able to work in a hybrid capacity, with some onsite presence required for training and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of financial management for construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Prepare financial reports and analysis for management review
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to monitor project financial performance
Provide guidance and support to accounting staff
Assist with audits and tax filings as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA designation preferred
5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles within the construction industry
Proficiency in Sage accounting software
Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, with some onsite presence required
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
