**Job Summary**
The Senior Director of Application Engineering Delivery is responsible for ensuring delivery of all Application projects and managing strategic functions, including within Enterprise Applications. Delivery execution excellence will be achieved by strategic partnering and building strong relationships within IT, Enterprise PMO, and other OneAmerica enterprise functions and being the thought leader for Enterprise Applications delivery. The incumbent is responsible for application technology delivery of full development and support functions and will ensure their team defines, establishes and executes maturity roadmaps to continuously transform and mature. As Enterprise Applications continue with our push towards DevSecOps, this role will continue to implement new and mature existing practices to ensure all applications are delivered and supported through the entire lifecycle. The incumbent will build alliances and influence senior IT leaders to delivery business outcomes, leveraging new technologies including Data, Web, /Mobile, Cloud and Financial ERP portfolio and advance technical and business capabilities supporting the current and future needs of the enterprise.
The Senior Director of Application Engineering Delivery Execution reports to the VP, Enterprise Applications and interfaces regularly with the CIO, members of Technology Council and other enterprise and technology leaders. The incumbent plays a key role in the division by providing a reliable leadership presence and role modeling company values to the organization more broadly.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Focus on Application services delivery and execution, across the entire Application portfolio
* Work with IT, Enterprise Applications, and the Enterprise PMO leadership to implement and enforce Application delivery industry best practices
* Identifies areas of execution improvement for delivery and support and continuously drives initiatives for continuous improvement
* Build an Application services delivery organization that delivers transformational projects
* Integral part of the overall Enterprise Application leadership team setting direction and strategy; key thought leader to shift application strategy to Product
* Lead and develop IT leadership; attract and retain top IT talent to meet the demands and requirements of the business
* Facilitate development of business technology strategy in collaboration with Business relationship managers, ePMO, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, etc.
* Teaming with IT leaders to build technology roadmaps aligning to prioritized business needs; Contribute to the on-going modernization strategy ensuring IT meets the companys business needs
* Manage Enterprise Applications delivery, focusing on critical programs that include but not limited to Data, Web,/Mobile, Cloud and Financial ERP technology areas
* Champion EWA within the IT organization - empowerment through forming and following OAWays, creating experiences that lead to the right beliefs, actions and results for the organization, and clarifying decision making rights
* Assess the current state and obtain approval for changes that will modernize OneAmericas application portfolio in noted responsibility areas
* Manage external 3rd party vendors as appropriate (both managed service agreements and staff augmentation agreements)
* Communicate and educate enterprise partners on IT processes, services and engagement models
* Align IT Strategy to enterprise initiatives and business demand; Lead and provide technology leadership for the OA IT strategy that aligns with OA Enterprise strategy
* In collaboration the CIO and the Technology Council, act as a mentor and coach to the IT leadership team to assist with individual development and career aspirations
* Participate in external industry stakeholders and peer groups.
**Job Requirements**
Required Education and/or Certifications
* B.A/B.S.
Recommended Education and/or Certifications
* Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related business discipline or equivalent
* MBA or other related advanced degree
Required Work Experience
* 10+ years of progressively responsible experience
* 7+ years experience in IT with emphasis on application development, project management, and IT Strategy
* Insurance and financial services experience preferred
* Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
**Salary Band**: 08C

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the majority of OneAmerica associates are currently working remotely in accordance with our safety protocols. The selected candidate will be expected to temporarily work remotely for an unspecified period of time as determined in OneAmericas sole discretion. When normal business operations resume, the selected candidate will be expected to physically return to work in the office located in Indianapolis, IN.
