Warehouse Production Operator Safety-Kleen Systems, in Metairie, LA, is hiring for a Warehouse Production Operator, to join their safety conscious team! This team member will support daily warehouse and production operations by receiving incoming materials, verifying shipment accuracy against purchase orders and invoices, and identifying any damages or discrepancies. Responsibilities include safely loading and unloading materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment, staging inventory for production or shipment, maintaining organized storage areas, and following all company health and safety procedures to ensure efficient warehouse operations. This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Work Schedule (per CBA): Monday-Friday; 6AM-2:30PM. Hourly Wage Range (per CBA): $16.50-$22.00/HR

Responsibilities Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage by comparing items to purchase orders or invoices and documenting discrepancies
Unload and load shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other material handling equipment
Prepare outgoing shipments and load products onto trucks or containers for delivery
Maintain accurate inventory records through counting, sorting, organizing, and storing materials in designated locations
Ensure proper inventory labeling, tracking, and storage procedures are followed
Fulfill customer orders by accurately picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment
Utilize handheld scanners and warehouse technology to verify inventory and locate materials
Conduct quality control inspections on outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, proper packaging, and compliance with company standards
Inspect products for damage prior to shipment and resolve discrepancies as needed
Follow FIFO ("First In, First Out") inventory rotation practices to reduce spoilage and product obsolescence
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment by sweeping floors, removing debris, and properly storing equipment
Qualifications 1-3+ years warehouse/manufacturing experience
Forklift experience preferred
Ability to work in hot and cold weather conditions
Basic computer knowledge
Work well in a team environment
