It will allow us to do the things we love in ways never before possible — all while staying connected to the people around us.Apple’s Vision Pro team is looking for a resourceful Engineering Project Specialist to drive NPI build material planning and readiness for key technologies. Responsibilities will encompass material planning, CTB (Clear to Build) analysis and reporting, logistic readiness, procurement, and configuration management activities. Preferred candidate is a strategic problem solver who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to communicate changes, analyze risks, and execute complex mitigation strategies in support of engineering development builds.
Description
- Drive NPI build planning activities, which can include managing build matrices for lower-level components/assemblies, building strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, developing risk mitigation plans, and executing issue resolution.- Manage material forecasting and planning with vendors and CMs. Drive Clear to Build (CTB) process and communicate changes to ensure clear visibility on materials lead-time, logistic readiness, and shipping plan that can meet the development builds.- Partner with program managers, global commodity managers and finance team to create and manage development budgets and procurement activities- Work closely with engineering design teams to create, structure and release Bills of Material (BOM), including part numbers, engineering change orders, and related technical drawings and documents- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage competing priorities
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of supply chain management experience related to build planning, material clear to build, supplier management, logistics, budget, and procurement
Proficient in MS Excel and iWork tools
Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal); able to work in a large cross-functional team environment
Strategic critical thinking and problem-solving skill capabilities
Attention to detail with multitasking and prioritization abilities
Off-hour support required via email, phone or WebEx as needed
Able and willing to travel internationally
Education: BS/BA degree, or 4+ years of industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of configuration management and BOM structuring (preferably for hardware products)
Experience with PLM tools
Able to quickly learn new software applications to promote efficiency and productivity (i.e. Tableau)
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $134,000 and $223,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
