What you'll do

A day in the life of our Assistant Director of Rooms it demands high levels of energy in order to keep up. They need consistency even though the days are never alike, and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all of the tasks that our Assistant Director of Rooms accomplishes would be lengthy but the list below is essential to know.

Our Assistant Director of Rooms is responsible for directing operational leadership to ensure service execution is consistent across all outlets. They ensure guest data is captured and brought forward into guest experience touchpoints. They support and advocate for the Nexus researching process and its operational use. They establish and support profitability through expense management and inventory control. They also maintain a high level of awareness of hotel financial goals and implement best practices within the division to maximize capabilities and guest experience. This will include reviewing and preparing for arrivals/departures with special emphasis on Must Look After/High Rate/High Profile/EO Guests (scrub 10 days out, spot check profile qty/qlt, amenity assignment, room assignment, requests actioned, transportation, outlet reservations, connection assigned, folio review, etc.). Reviewing reservations made the day prior. Reviewing blocking. Auditing profile enrichment throughout the guest journey. Managing room inventory and auditing OOS/OOO. Walking MLA/High Rate/High Profile/EO Guest Rooms. Monitoring CARE process and process for physical product upkeep. Reviewing cases and problems Coordinating guest feedback sessions – catalog and action feedback as needed. Monitor and action Medallia comments as needed. Reviewing/critiquing trial balance and P&L.

·Our hotels are truly luxury hotels. This requires preventing and correcting the imperfections and blemishes that tend to come up. Our Assistant Director of Rooms is relied upon to report these and work with several other positions to correct them.

·Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Assistant Director of Rooms must communicate with other departments and the extended hotel team in order to ensure the alignment remains.
