**Job purpose**
Sitting at our site in Arlington, TX the Customer Service Representative serves customers by ensuring orders are shipped and delivered in the timeliest, cost effective way, while meeting customer requirements. Keeps customers and sales staff informed of shipment progress. Ensures the timely invoicing to customer. This role must ensure excellent customer service and maintain high customer satisfaction.
**Duties and responsibilities**
* Process, prepare and record all sales orders received via phone, fax, and e-mail for shipment, and ensure that optimal transit times and costs are being used.
* Trace shipments daily to ensure on-time delivery is being met. Keep internal and external customers informed of shipment ETA, and quickly report any delays.
* Ensures all relevant information is correctly updated within sales orders.
* Maintains customer records by updating account information.
* Resolves customer issues by determining the cause of the issue, selecting, and explaining the best solution to solve the issue, expediting corrections, and following up to insure resolution.
* Maintains financial accounts by processing customer adjustments.
* Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
* Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
* Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Run daily individual open order reports to aide in insuring paperwork is received and sales orders are invoiced in a timely manner.
* Learn and recognize the top 20 of strategic customers.
* Report any failures and issues into the ticketing system. (CAR)
* Responsible for the filing of invoices.
* Meeting with your manager to discuss weekly and monthly performance.
* Maintain focus on KPIs to ensure meeting personal and department goals.
**Qualifications**
* High School Diploma/GED with 3 years experience
* Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
* Knowledge of relevant computer application (MS office)
* Knowledge of administrative procedures
* Knowledge of Order entry process (SAP B1)

**Working conditions**
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
