Our UI Platform organization is responsible for the user interface technology across the full suite of Workday products. Our team is based in the United States, Canada and Ireland, doing critically important work to support the worlds' largest companies running their businesses on Workday!

About The Role

Within the UI Platform group, this role will focus on Artificial Intelligence and User Guidance projects, working directly with a pillar of 4 scrum teams. Our new Principal Product Manager will join an impactful group of 20 product professionals in the United States, Canada and Ireland.

In AI, this person will be a key contributor to our Assist and Automate workstream, as part of our overall suite of AI investments (Project Ingenuity). Our new Principal will join at an exciting time as we define our strategy, use cases and deliverables, collaborating with an excellent set of senior partners from around the business.

With User Guidance, our capabilities are maturing, having been made Generally Available last year. The team is based in Ireland, though as we develop our offering and expand in the market, we have an increasing opportunity to engage with internal partners in the US, and face-off to US customers.

Product Managers at Workday are involved in all aspects of the product life-cycle. They design great new functionality for internal and external customers, evangelize the enhancements to collaborators, all while sweating out the details to deliver a superior end product. Principal Product Managers exemplify thought leadership in these areas, drawing on their own experience to support multiple teams to be brilliant at what they do.

Responsibilities

Influences the product roadmap and sets the long-term strategy for multiple product areas.

Leads through influence and applies strategic understanding of the company's big picture

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their requirements

Often starts with a blank sheet of paper and has a deep understanding of product usage and adoption.

Handle implementation of new capabilities by coordinating with internal Product teams impacted by those capabilities.

Communicate new capabilities to stakeholders clearly

Work with the development organization through design, testing and product release

Participate in customer-facing situations and user conferences as a product expert

Drive cross team initiatives and influence other teams

About You

Basic Qualifications

7+ years of product management experience

5+ years carrying out scrum and other agile development methods

5+ years of experience with SaaS

Other Qualifications

A product person at heart (passion for innovation & AI a bonus)

Very strong technical competence

Individual initiative & ownership – driven by results, and motivated by impact

Steadfast focus on user-centric design, data, research, and well-honed judgment

Proven track record to operate successfully across multiple functions, influence senior executives and peers alike, and mediate across various partners

Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location: USA.CO.Boulder

Primary Location Base Pay Range: $168,000 USD - $252,000 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $159,600 USD - $282,000 USD
