We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and analyses in a medical laboratory setting. The Medical Technologist II will work under the supervision of a laboratory supervisor or manager and will be responsible for ensuring that all laboratory procedures are conducted according to established protocols and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Perform laboratory tests and analyses in accordance with established laboratory protocols and procedures.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
Conduct quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure accuracy and precision of laboratory results.
Evaluate test results, prepare and analyze reports, and maintain accurate laboratory records.
Communicate test results to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
Participate in laboratory research projects and quality improvement initiatives.
Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and inventory.
Provide training and guidance to other laboratory staff as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by a recognized certification agency such as ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
Minimum of 3 years of experience performing laboratory tests and analyses in a medical laboratory setting.
Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in the use of laboratory equipment and software.
