CJP's Center for Combating Antisemitism (CCA) is part of CJP's Strategy and Impact Department. The Center mobilizes partners and resources to make antisemitism in Greater Boston socially and politically unacceptable. Over the next few years, CCA will:

Mobilize civic leaders and engage them in our work to ensure that their institutions are safe and supportive places and spaces for all Jews.

Educate the next generation - and the academic institutions that serve them - about antisemitism, Jewish history, and Jewish life to ensure that they both can confidently respond to acts of hate.

Ensure that our Jewish community remains strong, safe, and vibrant by expanding CJP's successful Communal Security Initiative.

The Director, CJP Center for Combating Antisemitism is responsible for the management and growth ofthis work, with a particular focus on executing our civic leadership (including higher education and business/workplaces) strategy.

The Director will work closely with the Senior Director, Combating Antisemitism and Building Civic Engagement to help implement CCA's strategy in collaboration with partners. The Director specifically will lead aspects of our emerging civic engagement and allyship strategy by focusing on building relationships and coordinating trainings and resources for civic leaders in Boston.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Work with the Senior Director, Combating Antisemitism and Building Civic Engagement, CJP staff, and Manager, Fighting Antisemitism to advance the initiative's vision and mission, help to manage the strategic implementation, budget, and ongoing management of key projects and initiatives across these agendas

The Director will build out a strategy to influence Boston's largest employers on preventing and responding to antisemitism. The Director will lead on relationship building and relationship management with targeted business and workplace executives with the goal of influencing action on antisemitism within institutions. The Director will also civic society goals in non-Jewish civic spaces and higher education.

Coordinate with Jewish organizational partners and grantees who are working to implement our collective strategy.

Lead portfolios for grantees supporting workplace and business strategies.

Track, support and help build business, corporate, and civic relationships across Boston. Coordinate and plan across grantee partners who also do this work for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

Work with the Research and Evaluation team to support organizational partners in achieving strong health indicators through reporting.

Support Development work by attending donor meetings, preparing reports, and offering content expertise when needed.

Work closely with project manager, CJP's communication team, and other internal stakeholders to update resources, websites, and ensure communications are aligned with strategy

Evaluate volunteer experience and develop and implement improvements and innovation as needed

Effectively represent the initiative to colleagues and community members

Support the Senior Director in budget and financial management and oversight

Requirements

Education:

BA/BS in Education, Business, Management, Public Affairs, International Affairs/International Relations, Social Work

Experience:

Demonstrated experience with strategic planning and execution, civic and community relations

5-7 years working with complex organizations and managing complicated budgets

5-7 years' experience in creating and implementing relationship management and project-based work

Proven track record of successfully working with community organizations and donors

Demonstrated experience with project management, including setting SMART goals, implementing methodologies, and measuring impact

Demonstrated experience managing budgets

Skills/Competencies:

Deep, up-to-date understanding of contemporary antisemitism

Experience working with at-risk and/or vulnerable populations

Experience in community relations a plus

Ability to understand new concepts, multipart requests, and translate them into action

Desire to work on a fast-paced, dynamic team

Solutions-oriented and action-oriented (i.e., takes on new opportunities and difficult challenges with energy and enthusiasm)

Facility managing finances, including projects, accounting, and budget management

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Political acuity and experience managing sensitive information

Ability to manage varied opinions of stakeholders

Demonstrated critical thinking

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changes and shifting priorities.

Working Conditions:

Hybrid Work Schedule: Tuesdays and Wednesdays in office work is required; Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays remote work option applies.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
