Warehouse AgentThe Warehouse Agent is responsible for operational functions within the warehouse including shipping and receiving, inbound/outbound deliveries, pick and pack, and other functions.Duties also include regular communication with carriers, the local transportation group and receivers.Primary duties and responsibilities include:Performs one or more warehouse operational functions within the guidelines of the facility (pick, pack, wrap and load orders for our customers)Receives and stows productEnsures inventory accuracyUnloads/loads trucks or containers, plus the building and breakdown of ULDsSchedules inbound deliveries using Advance Ship NoticesWorks within established SOP's and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelinesDemonstrates depth and breadth of knowledge or proficiency in several areas or in specialized areas of responsibilityAccurately and efficiently performs several operational tasks assigned to the individualOperates multiple types of material handling/packaging/warehouse equipmentPerforms several specialized warehouse operations functions within the operating guidelines of the facilityDemonstrates effective oral and written communication skillsPerform weekly/monthly/annual cycle countsCompletes other duties and tasks as assigned by managementPhysical demands include:Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walkingAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. required.Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per dayAbility to talk and hear required.Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearingAbility to use hands for simple grasping and fine manipulationsRequires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gasesAbility to perform repetitive motions required.Ability to move or position self in order to reach, lift, climb, balance, stoop and crouch required.Ability to read PC screens; detect color coding, read fine print, and/or normal type size print required.Job requirements include:Essential minimum qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum of two to five (2-5) years' experiencePast or current Forklift CertificationPreferred qualifications:Experience in a fast-paced warehouse/production logistics environmentSkills essential to the job include:Technical:Proven proficiency in an automated warehouse environment, working knowledge of WMS technologies.Material handling equipment and personal computers with good working knowledge of MS Office Suite.Very organized / Methodical • Critical / Analytic / Objective • ApproachableBusiness:Demonstrated critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks, and identifying alternative solutions or approachesStrong customer orientation and problem solving skills.Successful communication - written and verbalEstablish priorities and multi-taskPossess professional business demeanorAbility to work effectively in a high-pressure environmentAbility to multi-task and work independentlyTime management skillsHuman Relations:Self-motivated, with an ability to self-manageStrong interpersonal/communication skillsAt Toll, you can help play a vital role in delivering what matters.
