I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires the services of 1 Software Developer 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Software Developer 3, Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Texas Health and Human Services Commission will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).

Researching, designing, implementing and managing software programs. Testing and evaluating new programs. Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts.
Additional job details and special considerations
This Software Developer 3 contractor position is part of the WIC Applications team and will be working to design and implement programs supporting WIC's move from a EBT offline system to an EBT online system. This developer will work with the rest of the WIC IT Applications team and two vendors to deploy workarounds during this transition and move data between multiple systems. This position will perform Software Application Developer duties that will involve the following technical areas: Microsoft Azure, Data Factory, Data Lakehouse on Databricks, Microsoft SQL Server, and Power BI reports.
Familiarity with Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) in Microsoft Azure or other cloud hosting environments.
Ability to design and develop of Power BI reports.
Ability to work under stressful conditions with multiple projects and deadlines.
