About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Clinical Development to lead the strategic direction for a team of medical leaders in clinical development. The successful candidate will be accountable for the strategic vision that brings new treatment options to patients, including the design of clinical development plans and working with regulatory colleagues to develop registrational plans for emerging assets.The Vice President will also be responsible for data generation through the execution of clinical protocols, external scientific communication, and will serve as the clinical leader on joint steering committees for external partnerships. The role involves providing clinical and translational advice to early project teams, representing the company at key medical and scientific meetings, and overseeing the public presentation of clinical data. This role requires a Board-certified M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. with a strong background in oncology or relevant disease areas, and at least 5 years' of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with a detailed understanding of the drug development process from IND through NDA. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience with complex clinical trial designs, and a solid understanding of bio-statistical principles in clinical trial design. They should be comfortable with the FDA and EMA and have a proven track record of leading and mentoring teams. A key aspect of the position is to maintain and expand the company's network of external clinical collaborators and advisors. The Vice President will also be responsible for administrative functions and budgets, and must be adept at presenting to a variety of audiences, including internal teams, patient advocacy groups, and investors.
