Who We Want
The Tax Manager is a vital member of our Advisory Team who will provide proactive service-focused tax planning and compliance to our high net worth individual and trust clients. In addition, the Tax Manager will be in constant communication and discussion with clients regarding tax savings opportunities and tax law changes while also leading and mentoring junior associates and assisting with the future development of the team.
What To Expect
Prepare or review individual, fiduciary, corporate and partnership/LLC tax returns.
Determine tax projections and update financial planning software for advisor and client use.
Successfully initiate and conduct tax planning for clients.
Research tax issues and provide technical advice to clients while continuing to develop technical expertise.
Complete mandated training, assessments, performance goals and continuing education requirements
Build and maintain client relationships.
What You Need
A demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements
Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance and tax research
Experience in various types of tax filings: Individual, Business, Fiduciary
Experience with CCH ProSystem and financial planning software preferred (BNA, Holistiplan, eMoney, MoneyGuide Pro, etc.)
Experience with QuickBooks preferred
Excellent communicator and team player
Superior client service skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle high volume, fast paced environment
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Accounting required.
Masters in Taxation degree a plus.
8+ years of tax filing experience in public accounting with an emphasis in Taxation.
Licensed CPA required
