The Banquet and Catering Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating banquets, events, and catering services. This role involves liaising with clients to understand their requirements, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring the successful execution of events.

Responsibilities:

Client Consultation: Meet with clients to discuss their event requirements, including menu selection, venue setup, and other logistical details.

Provide professional guidance and suggestions to clients to ensure their needs are met.

Event Planning: Develop detailed event plans, including timelines, seating arrangements, and catering requirements.

Collaborate with kitchen staff to create customized menus based on client preferences and dietary restrictions.

Coordination: Work closely with various departments (e.g., kitchen, service staff, audio-visual) to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events.

Oversee the setup, breakdown, and cleanup of event spaces.

Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors, such as florists, decorators, and rental companies, to secure necessary items for events.

Negotiate and finalize contracts with vendors to ensure cost-effective services.

Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.

Provide cost estimates to clients and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
