The SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George’s County, Inc. (PGSPCA) is a nonprofit organization of volunteers dedicated to animal welfare. Although we are a small independent group, over the past half-century we have been an important player in the local animal rescue community. The Executive Director will have a unique opportunity to significantly impact the animals and residents of Prince George’s County.
The Executive Director advances the mission of PGSPCA, supports its goals, and works closely with the Board of Directors. The ED will be the visible spokesperson for our group and serve as a dynamic liaison among the staff, Board of Directors, volunteers, the community, and government entities in Prince Georges County.
The Executive Director’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Operations and Fiscal Management
Community and Customer Relations, Fundraising, and Marketing
Human Resource Management
Volunteer Collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
· Minimum three years of management experience with a similar level of responsibility
· Diplomatic interpersonal skills leading to positive working relationships
· Significant fundraising experience; proven ability to obtain and administer funding
· Ability to effectively supervise programs and events, fundraising, and teams
· Experience with volunteer management
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Demonstrated computer and technology skills
· Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required
· Passion for the mission of PGSPCA
· Ability to positively drive change, adapt, and remain flexible during times of change
· A proven record of achieving goals and ensuring business success
