The successful candidate will be a self-starter able to handle matters autonomously and aid in providing transaction and litigation support. Additionally, candidates should have a desire to grow their personal book of business through engagement with the local real estate community. A candidate must have 2-4 years of experience in real estate legal matters and will focus on all types of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, financing, title work, commercial leasing, land use and zoning, condominium matters, and litigation. Candidates should have the ability to coordinate and supervise real estate transactions from inception to closing autonomously.
Responsibilities:
Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements
Draft and negotiate commercial leases
Review and negotiate financing agreements with lenders
Review title commitments and surveys
Draft operating agreements and joint venture agreements
Handle real estate related litigation matters
Participate in phone conferences with potential new clients
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-4 years of transactional or litigation commercial real estate experience
Proficient in Microsoft office suite
Desire to grow with the firm and develop a personal book of business
Strong drafting, research, and organizational skills
Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Licensed to practice in Ohio
