Overview of the Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager position
Burlington County. Newly created Senior Accountant position open due to rapid business expansion and growth. Opportunity to work remote 2 days a week indefinitely once our client fully returns to the office. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will assist with the preparation of financial statements and research the impact of technical accounting pronouncements. Minimum of 4 years of experience is required.
What will be expected of me as Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager?
Able to work remote 2 days a week
Assist with month-end close to meet parent company reporting requirements
Review account reconciliations and journal entries
Assist with calculating complex reserves for significant accounting estimates
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for management
Enhance accounting policies ensuring compliance with US GAAP
Assist in documentation of technical accounting matters
Coordinate complex accounting projects and initiatives
Lead the annual goodwill impairment assessment and documentation
Lead the financial reporting requirements of the Company’s 401k Plan
Analyze work flows to identify process improvement opportunities and internal control enhancements
Perform ad-hoc projects and/or research as directed by the Controller or the CFO
What qualifies me for the Senior Accountant position?
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years of accounting and finance experience in a public or private accounting environment (CPA / mortgage accounting experience a plus)
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
