Our Boston, MA office is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 5 to 10 years’ experience for our Transportation and Infrastructure Division.
Successful candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited electrical engineering university. Successful completion of the FE Exam and being a registered EIT or EI is a plus. Our small and growing MEP group is looking for a motivated engineer that is looking to lead their own projects and work collaboratively with others in a hybrid office setting.

The ideal candidate will have skills with Revit, AutoCAD, specification/report writing, and other electrical engineering tasks. Energy modeling and load calculation skills are a plus. Strong computer skills as well as strong oral and written communication skills are required
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include participation and taking the lead, in the planning, design and post design of electrical systems for facilities projects for a broad client base. We provide design services to both public agencies and private corporations. Current projects include public transit terminals and transportation maintenance facilities; municipal buildings such as public work facilities; and light commercial / retail. Other potential projects include correctional facilities, convention centers, maintenance facilities, public health, and higher education buildings. Additional responsibilities will include supporting the design Revit and Auto CAD efforts for the projects this person leads and assist with design effort on other senior electrical staff projects as required.
Day to Day Duties:
Assist senior engineers on their projects and take the lead on his/her own projects under the review and supervision of the manager of electrical engineering to perform the following project related efforts:
Develop designs using Revit and/or Auto CAD for power, lighting and fire alarm systems
Size and specify electrical equipment/systems
Performs electrical calculations using specialized engineering software
Short-circuit analyses
Arc Flash Analysis
Develop reports and specifications, utilizing Micro Office Suite
Field surveys and documents existing conditions.
Mentor electrical engineers working on his projects
Assist other senior engineers on their projects as needed
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience: 5 years minimum relevant experience including Revit and/or Auto CAD as an electrical engineering.
Registration: Willingness to obtain EIT or EI certification leading to future PE licensure. EIT or EI certification is a plus.
Compensation Range:
